all the
polaroid pictures are shot using SLR680, SX-70, 340 land
and
600 SE polaroid cameras.
modified
polaroids are worked on the inner side, using fibre pens,
acryl colors, letraset types, tape and images/words from magazines.
a personal technique called COLORAMA

my COLORAMA polaroids set the point
where photography meets collage
and - sometimes
- painting, mostly playing around two main themes:
sex & religion.
color
explosions, monstrosity of figures, unreal and disturbing settings
- or
their total absence -, short and funny or decontextualized
sentences/words are pop-astonishing media to catch the observers'
attention. furtermore,
despite their funny aspect, they bring to
a deeper, polemic and
queer-oriented reflection about the role of
catholic church, its
hierarchy and sex.
all
these topics merge into a playful or painful game to freely express
the
identity of the self, against the fake idea of goodness and
pureness
spread by a church
imposing nonsense-bordering lifestyles
as absolute truths. porn, uncomfortable feelings and
irony are in my
polaroids the way to escape from constrictions and
bigotry.
because - sometimes -
self-freedom is just a squirt of sperm away
